When Eb Novak started Unique Industries at the age of 23, he never dreamed it would grow into the successful manufacturing company it is today. In fact, he had always dreamt of becoming a cowboy. But in 1961, Eb rented a tiny space in the basement of a Philadelphia warehouse and worked around the clock to build a successful business from the ground up—sweeping floors, unloading trucks, moving pallets, and even enlisting the help of his sons to package products. Now over 60 years later, Unique is one of the leading global party supply manufacturers in the industry.

Though we’ve moved quite a few steps from the basement, we’re still proud to be headquartered in Philadelphia. And that’s not the only change we’ve made in the past half a century. We now operate 10 facilities worldwide located in Canada, the United Kingdom, Asia and the U.S., creating one of the most extensive distribution networks in the industry. With U.S. and overseas manufacturing and over 37 million cubic feet of warehouse space, we are uniquely positioned to serve our party retailers.

Today we partner with nearly every major licensor including Disney, Marvel, Nickelodeon, Hasbro, and Universal to bring to market the hottest licenses in the party industry. Our current licensed brands include Emoji, Hatchimals, Paw Patrol, Star Wars and dozens more. But it all started somewhere over the rainbow in 1966 with our very first license, The Wizard of Oz. That yellow brick road helped us land successes for every new kid-craze along the way. From The Smurfs to Cabbage Patch Kids, Barney to Batman, Unique’s design teams have created beloved patterns for generations of kids.

Here in America, we’re creating both jobs and high-quality products, so you can feel good about buying from Unique.  Most of our paper tableware, streamers, and plastic cups are made in the U.S. by hard-working Americans.  And while we boast extensive overseas sourcing and manufacturing, we’re most proud of our state-of-the-art printing and converting facility in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. This plant and our expansive warehouse in Blairs, Virginia allow us to efficiently ship U.S. customers high quality products at the most competitive prices.
